[b]Into the Depths of Hell[/b] is a massive, multiple-part FreeSpace 2 campaign that follows the route of the GTD [i]Eternity[/i] and its attempt to return to GTVA-controlled space. Along the way, they will meet the NTF, the remains of the Hammer of Light, and even a new species. As a player, you will take part in the destruction of a new Shivan superdestroyer, Shivan installations, and even bombers with beam turrets. You will fight within subspace, back in the Nebula, and even within the material ring of a black hole... Twelve chapters were planned but only four (plus part of a fifth) were released. [b]Player Comments[/b][br] [br] [i]A must-have campaign featuring a long, drawn-out story. Each mission is imaginative and adds to the overall surreal atmosphere. Features a great many mods. Chapters 1 - 4 currently released, with Chapter 5 partway released. ITDOH is, from a standpoint of pure playing, not the best campaign ever made. It does have a VERY good story, however, and for pure pyrotechnics it's tough to beat; while rarely succumbing to Battle of Endor Syndrome, ITDOH is pretty good about making sure you're watching the explosions even in a normal mission.[/i]
